Dancehall artiste Popcaan served up the treat organisers of the Beach Road Trip (BRT) Weekend were hoping for by delivering a commanding performance on day one of the three day event.

The Unruly Boss made his entrance just before 3 a.m. local time, and gave patrons at the Maui Wowi Bonfire a performance to remember. His set was short but it was just what BRT patrons ordered as they screamed right through his performance. Popcaan paid particular attention to the female patrons showing love to all the ladies who travelled from across the world to see him perform.

The first day of the highly anticipated Beach Road Trip (BRT) Weekend ended on a high Saturday morning at the Macao Beach.

Teething pains were evident as the weekend started with a pool party at Hotel 2 Bavaro, but  organisers redeemed themselves and gave patrons an exciting show at the Maui Wowi Bonfire event.

There was not a physical fire but the party was blazing from the get go as selectors had patrons dancing up a storm inside the venue. A tasteful blend of dancehall, hip hop and reggae music were the order of the night as the event built its way up to an epic climax.

Party goers would have probably been satisfied if the event had ended after the last selector did his round at the consoles. However, more was in store as up and coming Canadian dancehall artiste Vincent Ross and the Unruly Boss, Popcaan were yet to touch the stage.

And when Popcaan made his entrance, the stage was set for an even bigger night. His set was short but it was just what BRT patrons ordered as they screamed right through his performance. Popcaan paid particular attention to the female patrons showing love to all the ladies who travelled from across the world to see him perform.

BRT weekend continues today with Xtreme Wet and Wild followed by BRT Glow Eruption. Both events are set for Macao Beach in Punta Cana.
